Vibroacoustic Waterbed Therapy – Caution & Safety Guidelines
Vibroacoustic Waterbed Therapy is a deeply relaxing, non-invasive wellness experience designed to support nervous-system regulation, stress reduction, and somatic awareness through sound, vibration and water resonance.
While generally considered safe for most people, it is important to understand the following cautions, contraindications and safety considerations before participating in a session or purchasing a vibroacoustic waterbed.
Who Should Avoid Vibroacoustic Waterbed Therapy
Vibroacoustic or frequency-based vibration therapy may not be suitable for individuals with certain medical or neurological conditions. Please avoid sessions or seek medical advice if you have:
- Pacemakers, implanted electronic devices or defibrillators
- Severe epilepsy or uncontrolled seizure disorders
- Recent major surgery or unhealed fractures
- Advanced osteoporosis or fragile bone conditions
- Acute inflammation, infection or fever

- Active psychosis or unmanaged dissociative conditions
Emotional & Nervous-System Considerations
Vibroacoustic Waterbed sessions may activate deep relaxation states (theta / delta brainwave ranges). Occasionally, emotional feelings or stored tension may surface. And sometimes if you have been very busy or stressed, a shift into parasympathetic (rest and digest), will need space to integrate after our session. Some people will want to sleep and feel their body is sore like after a massage potentially. Usually feeling much better the day afterwards and some have major positive changes in their life. Others who are already looking after themselves well, experience joy, excitement and inspiration after a session.
